Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
WHERE DO I BEGIN?
Design and Branding have always come naturally to me. My ideas come fast and plentiful and there are too many to put to use for just myself, I choose to share this gift with others.
To me, all ideas can become reality, with the right amount of creativity and flexibility.
I grew up bi-coastally on a secluded gulf island off the West Coast of British Columbia sharing time between there and Vancouver. Inspiration always surrounded me; beach-combing, hiking, stargazing and swimming in the sea. Mother nature raised me. When we would return to Vancouver I would swoon over all the shops downtown, the billboards, the architecture and load up on books, magazines and fabric to keep me inspired back on the island. I had an innate curiosity for how brands met their audience through visuals.
My love of art was realized early on, my father, who worked in the art industry was able to provide me with the tools I needed to grow as an artist as well as exposure to talented creatives I would otherwise have never met. At 12, I began travelling to different artist family members in Toronto and California to satiate my longing to learn more and to give this only child some time with cousins. I am so grateful for my parents creative child rearing ways.
the Joy of
Cultivating Purpose
I am a designer to my core, since birth. Blend this with a fascination with technology and becoming a graphic designer happened organically. I never liked the idea of working someone else. I have entrepreneurship in my blood, I have never seen a lineage so full of business owners! I worked at a design studio before getting pregnant, and after my son was born, decided I was never going back. I started my own remote online website design business 16 years ago. This allowed me to stay at home with my babies. Each year as they grew, so did my business. As they needed me less, my clients needed me more.
I didn’t expect that my passion for web design would pale in comparison to the immense love I've discovered for UX branding. Specifically birthing brands with cool people. This work brings me joy, while also getting all the blissful moments with my amazing children: I feel like I hit the jackpot.
I want to inspire my kids to go after their dreams and find their purpose. A purpose to me is cultivating the calling you have in service of others. I want to show my kids the joy I get when I am fulfilling my calling. I am a conduit to helping other people pursue their purpose, like a purpose amplifier!!! I live for the startup phase of businesses. The energy just flows. Taking the business idea and giving it a visual identity, creating the customers experience, the passion, focus and collective desire for this brand to excel, it truly is so much fun for me. I get to be present during the most magical time in an “idea’s” life: when it becomes real.

What is the meaning of 'Volerra'?
VOL’AIR’AH
I coined the word 'Volerra' during a period of profound grief. In that vulnerable space, my heart opened, and I found myself living life with my soul exposed, connected yet longing to soar freely. Derived from the French word 'voler,' meaning 'to fly,' and 'a' symbolizing movement, Volerra encapsulates the concept of embracing an open heart and allowing the soul to guide us effortlessly. It's about surrendering to the gentle pull of our soul, experiencing a weightless freedom akin to flight.
Volerra represents both a direction and a philosophy—a commitment to following our hearts with grace and ease. My design approach is intuitive, and I selectively collaborate with clients who align with this ethos. Harmony and ease are the foundation of Volerra Creative, where creativity is celebrated as the soul's playful expression, and I wholeheartedly embrace its guidance.
I partner exclusively with individuals who are deeply passionate about their brands, guided by unwavering integrity and fueled by their heartfelt convictions.
